understanding corners ourselves

It is the light and shadow which define the corner, makes it visible.

In creating an image of a room, whether a photograph or drawing it is the corners that create the understanding of the walls or surfaces. The corner does not exist until the walls come together, and yet the walls need the corner to be described so that they can exist in its representation.

And so, we understand ourselves as who we are in this world. This is the room in which we sit and think. We understand ourselves, our being, as the corner, but we have to take that step back, and view the walls, angles and lines that define us, we need to come away to see ourselves and our relationship with the surfaces and spaces that make us.
